Hot: 3 suspects arrested in the case of Liam Payne falling from a building and dying on the spot

On November 7, Page Six reported that the Argentine Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office had arrested three people in connection with Liam Payne’s fatal fall from a building. According to the announcement of the competent authority, the first suspect is a businessman (unnamed), who introduced himself as the manager of the former One Direction member, and was accused of abandoning Liam Payne.

The man failed to inform Liam Payne’s family that the singer had relapsed into drug addiction. After Liam Payne died on October 16 (local time), police attempted to contact the man via the phone number left at the hotel, but received no response. Therefore, the authorities believe that this person breached his duty of care to Liam Payne. The man now faces a sentence of 5-15 years in prison.

The second suspect is an employee of the CasaSur Palermo hotel where Liam Payne fell to his death. The other suspect is a drug dealer who allegedly supplied the former One Direction member with drugs. The identities of the two suspects have not been released.

According to the investigation, Liam Payne stayed at the hotel with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy a few days before the tragic incident. In addition to the room where the singer stayed, the police also searched the hotel’s lockers, reviewed security cameras and footage from the lobby and courtyard, which are believed to be places the singer had visited.

The police suspect that Liam Payne’s death was related to stimulants and alcohol. They hypothesized that the hotel staff contacted a drug dealer to get illegal narcotics for Liam Payne. When investigating in this direction, the investigators indeed discovered traces of Liam Payne’s drug supplier. The police then found the phone number and home address of the drug dealer. Here, they seized 1 jar of marijuana, 9 mobile phones, 3 computers and 2 electronic storage devices.

Following the announcement by the Argentine Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, businessman Rogelio “Roger” Nores – who is suspected by the public to be one of the three suspects arrested – has denied being involved in Liam Payne’s fatal fall. He also denied being Liam Payne’s manager. “I am a very close friend of Liam’s, and I am deeply saddened by the tragedy that happened to him. However, I have never abandoned him or had anything to do with his death. I went to the hotel to see Liam three times that day. However, 40 minutes before the tragic incident happened to Liam, I left. There were more than 15 people chatting and joking with him in the hotel lobby when I left the hotel. In the past, I have never worked as a police officer or any prosecutor ,” said Rogelio “Roger” Nores.

Notably, according to the Argentine prosecutor’s office, Liam Payne may have fallen from the hotel balcony in a semi-conscious or completely unconscious state, without any self-defense reflexes to protect himself.

According to initial toxicology test results, authorities found cocaine, crack cocaine (a type of drug) and benzodiazepine sedative in the body of the 31-year-old male singer after the autopsy.
