The former Disney princess shed tears: “My people are being attacked, even the children. I don’t understand, I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I will try everything, I promise.”

The clip has sparked heated debate on social media. Many people criticized Selena Gomez for expressing inappropriate emotions, even being “hypocritical”. Others sympathized with the 1992-born beauty because she has Mexican blood and is grieving over the plight of her fellow countrymen.

Currently, this case has not been resolved.
