Recently, Nowak faced significant online backlash after sharing a post for their son Kian’s birthday on 12th November 2024. While the post was shared months ago, criticism resurfaced as fans weighed in on the ongoing legal battle. In response, Nowak addressed the trolls on her Instagram story.

In a recent Instagram story on her official handle, Nowak sarcastically responded to online critics. She urged them to share their opinions on any post except those featuring her children. She also took a jab at the “men in her DMs,” who had been overly sympathetic towards her situation.
“Hey guys! Despite the really thought-provoking discussion taking place in my comments, let’s move that to literally any photo other than the ones with our children in them. Better yet, you can join the men in my DMs expressing their grievances. Keep up the great work, guys; loving the energy! Xx,” Nowak wrote on her story.
As for Butler, he rarely opens up about his personal life. However, in Netflix’s Starting 5, he discussed some details of his family. The Heat star shared how his children help him maintain a clear mindset. Butler also revealed that his kids are unaffected by his on-court struggles. Despite their long relationship since 2019, Butler and his baby mother, Kaitlin Nowak, remain private, with few public appearances, including their children.
Butler has been in recent headlines following his seven-game suspension and his potential trade. Miami suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games on January 3rd due to multiple violations of team conduct rules. Pat Riley later reversed his previous stance from December, announcing that the Heat would now entertain trade offers for Butler. “We have suspended Jimmy Butler for seven games for multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team over the course of the season and particularly the last several weeks,” Riley said in a statement.
“Through his actions and statements, he has shown he no longer wants to be part of this team. Jimmy Butler and his representative have indicated that they wish to be traded, therefore, we will listen to offers,” he added.
As per the latest report from ESPN, it was revealed that the Miami Heat president Riley and Butler had a meeting where the 35-year-old forward reportedly attested to the trade rather than extending his contract.
